An exotic garden dedicated to cacti and succulents
A fun outing! That’s how one could describe a visit to the Cactus Park in Bessan. You’ll find thousands of cacti and succulents from all over the globe. Your children will have the chance to discover and learn the names of various species from the Mediterranean, North America, tropical regions, and desert areas of the world. The 8-hectare domain is tastefully landscaped. Visitors can enjoy shaded pathways lined with beautiful plants. There are terraced areas planted with trees, reminiscent of Greek olive groves, various species of cacti of all shapes and sizes, and flowering plants adorned with vibrant colors. Added to this are ponds with lush aquatic plants.
An animal park with endearing creatures
The park is home to gentle animals loved by children. You can watch them pecking and grazing freely or in their enclosures. You’ll be delighted to meet Tibetan yaks, Jerusalem donkeys, Jacob sheep, Cameroonian cows, Syrian goats, and even Andean llamas. These animals live and breed in the park, offering children the chance to see adorable baby goats and lambs. Additionally, you’ll find traditional farm animals such as chickens and ducks.
Services of the Park
Cactus Park offers picnic areas with chairs and tables under the refreshing shade of trees. You can spend an entire day there by bringing your lunch. Please do not feed the animals with your own food; the park staff provides hard bread for children to feed certain animals in the park. Cactus Park in Vias also has a shop where you can purchase potted succulent plants.
