Dark Zone: Another reason to visit the campsite in Vias
Boredom has no place in Vias. This Hérault commune is ideally located on the Mediterranean coast, crossed by the Libron River, making it a perfect playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Travelers also visit for its charming accommodations, a perfect starting point to explore Agde, Cap d'Agde, Marseillan, and more. Vias stands out thanks to Dark Zone, a 1,000 m² theme park offering visitors an intense experience: the fright of their lives. The concept comes from Gilles Lentz, who discovered in Canada that people are drawn to this type of attraction. He decided to create one at Vias Plage, at the entrance to Fabrikus World (formerly Europark), another famous park in Languedoc-Roussillon and France as a whole. To bring it to life, he enlisted professional actors and makeup artists to play the “villains” in the journey. He also collaborated with an artistic director to craft wild scenarios and set designs.
Dark Zone: A unique experience in Vias
From the moment you enter this immersive horror attraction, the stage is set: a façade painted with scenes straight out of a horror movie. Your mission is to navigate a long, dark tunnel inhabited by terrifyingly gruesome creatures. Spanning 1,000 m², the journey takes about 40 minutes to complete. Time feels much longer given the ordeal awaiting you. At the entrance, you're handed a candle as your only source of light amid a chillingly gory setting. A cemetery, haunted bedroom, torture chamber… your heart and nerves will be put to the ultimate test throughout the journey. The realistic set design and actor costumes will make you live through genuine nightmares. You can return as many times as you like—the fear remains as intense as ever. New scenarios are regularly introduced to surprise you with fresh scares.
