Minerve: The Former Cathar Stronghold

Nestled deep within the gorges on a limestone plateau, Minerve lies between the Cévennes and the Montagne Noire. Although inhabited since prehistoric times, the town is most notably marked by the history of the crusades against the Cathars. Located at the heart of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, it enchants visitors with its stunning surroundings and the flavors of its AOC wines crafted by local winemakers. After enjoying a glass of wine, you can admire remnants of the Cathar era, including the fortress, ramparts, the lower gate, and the Peace Monument.

Olargues: Between Nature and Curiosities

Nestled within the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, Olargues has been ranked among the most beautiful villages in France since 1992. Perched at an altitude of 183 meters at the foot of the Espinouse Massif, the village boasts stunning landscapes from its rocky promontory.
